MARILYN (LYNNE) ANDERSON (CAVE)
Born: Aug 15, 1934
Date of Passing: Nov 05, 2001
Offer Condolences or MemoryMARILYN (LYNNE) ANDERSON (nee CAVE) August 15, 1934 - November 5, 2001 With great courage and dignity, Marilyn ("Lynne") Anderson passed away on Monday, November 5, 2001, in her beautiful home at Shawnigan Lake, Victoria Island with her beloved husband of 41 years at her side. Besides her loving husband and soul mate Michael, Lynne is survived by her six children, Lynda, William (Judy), Laurel, Rosalyn (Bruce), Kathryn and Michael (Brenda) 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; special aunt Dorothy and uncle Wally; numerous nieces and nephews. Lynne was born in Winnipeg and graduated from Daniel McIntyre Collegiate. As a young lady she joined the Alumni Choir of Daniel McIntyre on a tour of Wales which provided lifelong memories. As a young married couple, her and Michael spent numerous weekends enjoying the cottage at Beausejour with their two eldest children. As their family grew, they decided to raise their children in a small community and chose Sanford, where they lived in a home designed and built from their own blood, sweat and tears, from 1966 to 1988. It was at this time that they decided to fulfill a lifelong dream of "living" on the coast, where many of Lynnes relatives had moved during the 1930s and 40s. Lynne was a gifted soloist and her youngest children will cherish the memories of watching her perform at the old Pantages Theatre with her two eldest daughters in numerous stage productions. Rainbow Stage was also a favourite summer pastime for the family and Christmas was always made special with the sound of her voice ringing from the choir loft of Sanford United Church. Her love of country living and quiet solitude was instilled in her children, most of whom have chosen the rural way of life, and her love of watching the ponies on Victoria Day Weekend will become an annual event in her honour. Lynne possessed many talents as seen through expressionary artwork and pottery. She was a gifted lady with a passion for hard work and diligence, accepting nothing but what she felt was the best for her children. She was a most gracious hostess and their home in Sanford provided a beautiful venue for the weddings of two of their children. Lynne was a liberated woman, before it was fashionable, independent and feisty and while raising a young family and working, furthered her education in the Certified General Accountants program. Despite being ill for most of her later years, she was able to enter into an entrepreneurial business with Michael which they enjoyed for the past decade. Although seen by her children as the "ruler" in the household, she recently confided in a family member that Michael really was the "backbone" to their relationship, which was proven over the past years with his never failing support of her and commitment to her wishes in her final days. Dad, we are all very proud of you. Cremation has taken place and at Moms request there will be no service. If friends so desire, donations can be made to a charity of your choice. Cry not when you think of me for now my soul flies high and free take comfort in knowing there is no more pain encircled in the Lords arms I live again.
